West Covina, CA (November 25, 2025) – Prinx Chengshan Tire has officially commenced construction of its third worldwide manufacturing facility on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in Kedah Rubber City, Malaysia. The ceremony marks a significant milestone in Prinx Chengshan’s global expansion and reinforces its commitment to serving the U.S. and Canadian markets.
Executives from Prinx Chengshan Tire (Shandong), including Chairman Che and Mr. Shi, Chengshan Group CFO hosted the event. Prinx Chengshan Tire North America (PCTNA) was represented by its’ President, Samuel Felberbaum who was honored to participate in this groundbreaking ceremony.
The new facility will feature two state-of-the-art plants: one dedicated to PLT tires and the other to TBR tires. As a key move in Prinx Chengshan’s global distribution strategy, the Malaysia factory is not merely a capacity extension but a next-generation benchmark project integrating “intelligence, sustainability, and full-chain integration.” Located in Kedah Rubber City, the project will cover 102.63 acres, with Phase I establishing an annual capacity of 6M premium passenger and light truck (PLT) tires and 600,000 commercial (TBR) tires. Phase II will allow for expansion upwards of 15M PLT and 1.5M TBR tires. Production is scheduled to begin in October 2026.
